Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang discusses tax contributions and robot popularity
Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang has expressed support for paying significant taxes, contrasting with other Silicon Valley executives who move to low-tax states. In an interview with Fox Business, Huang stated that being able to pay billions of dollars in taxes is a privilege resulting from business success in the United States. He noted that his only real fear is poverty, rather than tax burdens, and encouraged entrepreneurs to remain in California to benefit from its innovation ecosystem.
Separately, small robots known as Microducks have gained viral popularity following a demonstration by Huang at the GTC conference in Berlin. These open-source devices, produced by Pollen Robotics, were trained using Nvidia technology. Following the demonstration, pre-orders for the robots exceeded 20,000 units, positioning them as a significant consumer tech item.
