Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang interrupted by Donald Trump call during meeting

Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang was interrupted by a phone call from President Donald Trump during a company all-hands meeting at the firm’s Santa Clara headquarters. While the specific contents of the call were not audible to staff, Trump later posted on Truth Social to congratulate Huang on Nvidia’s recent financial performance.

Nvidia reported second-quarter fiscal year 2027 revenue of $96.22 billion, representing a 106% increase year-over-year. This growth was primarily driven by the data center segment, which saw revenue rise 117% to $89 billion. The company provided forward guidance of $108 billion for the third quarter and signaled approximately 70% revenue growth for the full fiscal year 2028.

The interaction occurs amid ongoing discussions regarding AI policy, domestic manufacturing, and chip export restrictions to China. Additionally, Nvidia recently announced the formation of an employee-funded political action committee to donate to federal candidates.
