Nvidia partners with Wall Street giants to fund $500B in AI infrastructure
Nvidia is expanding its role from a semiconductor manufacturer to a central architect of the global artificial intelligence ecosystem. The company has announced strategic partnerships with six major financial institutions—Apollo, BlackRock, Blackstone, Brookfield, Goldman Sachs, and KKR—to establish independent financing platforms. These partnerships aim to mobilize over $500 billion in third-party capital to fund the construction of AI infrastructure, including data centers and what CEO Jensen Huang refers to as 'AI factories.'
This initiative seeks to provide frontier AI developers and large enterprises with the necessary capital to manage the high upfront costs of large-scale computing systems. By utilizing long-duration, usage-linked financing models similar to traditional infrastructure projects like power plants, Nvidia aims to remove capital bottlenecks for its customers.
In addition to these financial moves, Nvidia continues to strengthen its technical and strategic alliances. The company recently partnered with Safe Superintelligence Inc. (SSI) and co-founded the Open Secure AI Alliance with 36 other organizations to establish security standards for AI agents. Furthermore, SpaceX has announced it will build its future AI infrastructure using Nvidia’s Vera Rubin architecture.
