NVIDIA launches Cosmos 3 Edge AI model for edge robotics
NVIDIA unveiled Cosmos 3 Edge, a 4‑billion‑parameter open‑world model designed to run on edge devices without cloud dependence. The model supports NVIDIA Jetson modules, RTX PRO GPUs and DGX hardware, delivering real‑time robotic control at roughly 15 Hz with up to 32 candidate actions per inference. By integrating perception, reasoning and action in a single loop, Cosmos 3 Edge aims to enable physical AI applications on factory floors, autonomous vehicles and other on‑device systems, reducing latency and bandwidth needs.
The launch highlights NVIDIA’s push to bring generative AI capabilities directly to robots and other embedded systems, positioning the technology as a “silicon workforce” that can collaborate with human operators in manufacturing and logistics environments.
