NVIDIA announces PAIR software and RTX Spark AI PCs

At IFA 2026, NVIDIA announced several advancements in local AI computing, headlined by the Personal AI Router (PAIR) and the upcoming RTX Spark Windows PCs.

PAIR is a free, open-source software tool designed to turn a home network into a coordinated AI cluster. It functions as a virtual inference router, distributing AI workloads and inference requests across multiple compatible devices on a local network. This allows users to utilize idle computing power from various machines to handle complex multi-agent tasks without overloading a single GPU. The tool is currently in beta and supports Windows, macOS, and Linux, working with hardware ranging from NVIDIA GeForce RTX 20-series GPUs to Apple M4 silicon and DGX Spark systems. It integrates with existing local inference services like Ollama and LM Studio.

Additionally, NVIDIA revealed the RTX Spark platform, which includes a new class of compact Windows PCs from manufacturers such as Lenovo and Acer. These systems are designed specifically for creators, gamers, and AI enthusiasts, featuring high-performance hardware like the RTX Blackwell GPU and Grace CPU to run advanced AI agents locally and securely. The RTX Spark PCs are expected to arrive in October 2026.
