NVIDIA releases firmware to improve G-SYNC Pulsar motion clarity

NVIDIA has released firmware version 1.1.10 for its first compatible G-SYNC Pulsar monitors, significantly improving motion clarity at high refresh rates. The update targets QHD 360 Hz monitors from Acer, AOC, ASUS, and MSI that utilize NVIDIA’s module for variable frequency and strobing illumination.

Technical improvements include a substantial reduction in Moving Picture Response Time (MPRT). At 240 Hz, the MPRT can drop from 2.05 ms to as low as 0.97 ms depending on pulse width settings. At 360 Hz, the MPRT improves from 1.64 ms to 1.14 ms. This update allows users to achieve the level of sharpness previously only available at 60 Hz in ULMB2 mode, even at brightness levels up to 480 nits.

Beyond motion clarity, the firmware increases the stability of the Pulsar technology, ensuring it remains active during graphically intense, high-entropy gameplay. However, a known issue regarding increased input lag at 320 frames per second remains unresolved in this version.
