Nvidia reveals $21 billion position in SpaceX
Nvidia has disclosed a $21 billion position in SpaceX as of the end of the second quarter, according to filings with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). This exposure is indirect, stemming from a $10 billion investment Nvidia made in xAI during a $20 billion funding round in January. Following a merger in February, xAI's artificial intelligence projects were acquired by SpaceX.
Nvidia currently holds 122.8 million shares in the Elon Musk-led company. This stake represents Nvidia's second-largest position, trailing only Intel, which holds approximately $22 billion in SpaceX. Nvidia is ranked as the sixth-largest investor in the firm. Additionally, Alphabet, the parent company of Google, previously disclosed a position in SpaceX valued at $94 billion in July.
