Nvidia discloses $21 billion stake in SpaceX

Nvidia has disclosed significant equity holdings in major technology and aerospace firms. According to regulatory filings, the chipmaker holds 122.8 million Class A shares of SpaceX, valued at approximately $21 billion at the end of the second quarter. This stake, which originated from an investment in xAI, has seen its value adjust following SpaceX’s public market debut. Nvidia’s largest single position remains Intel, valued at roughly $30 billion.

Institutional investors are also seeing substantial returns from SpaceX, which currently holds a market valuation exceeding $1.8 trillion. Harvard Management Co. disclosed a $2.2 billion stake in the aerospace company, making it the largest single stock in its U.S. equity portfolio. Other university endowments, including the University of California and the University of North Carolina, have also reported significant holdings in SpaceX.

Elon Musk remains the largest shareholder of SpaceX, with a stake valued at approximately $850 billion. The company’s growth is closely tied to the artificial intelligence sector, with Musk stating that SpaceX will exclusively use Nvidia chips in its AI data centers.
