Nvidia warns of AI server price hikes amid semiconductor market shifts

Nvidia has reportedly warned its major customers that the cost of AI servers equipped with its chips could increase by more than 15%. This potential price hike arrives as cloud providers and technology corporations continue to aggressively expand their AI infrastructure. The increase may impact capital expenditure planning and the expected amortization of training and inference pipelines.

In the semiconductor sector, Sivers Semiconductors is seeing a shift in short-seller positioning. While Citadel Securities and D. E. Shaw have exited their reported short positions, Arrowstreet Capital has entered as a new short seller. This movement follows a second-quarter report that showed significant losses, including a net loss of 115.0 million SEK and an EBIT of minus 116.9 million SEK. A portion of the expanded loss was attributed to a non-cash charge related to social security contributions following a sharp rise in the company's stock price.
