NVision develops quantum chips for cancer detection and computing

NVision, a startup based in Ulm, Germany, is developing photonics-based quantum computing technology aimed at achieving mass-market readiness. Originally founded to revolutionize cancer early detection by improving MRI imaging clarity—potentially making tumor cells 10,000 times more visible—the company has pivoted toward broader quantum chip development.

The company utilizes a method to integrate computing power into light using specific molecules, which are then processed through integrated light-guiding chips. This approach, known as PIQC, seeks to combine stability and scalability through the link between molecules and light.

Following a successful funding round in early 2026, NVision secured $55 million to advance its research. Co-founders CEO Sella Brosh and CTO Ilai Schwartz aim to compete with global tech giants like IBM and Google, positioning the technology to accelerate industries such as drug development, battery technology, and logistics simulation.
