NWSL partners with Roku for Sunday night match streaming

The National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) has entered a new media partnership with Roku to broadcast its Sunday night matches. This agreement follows the league's recent termination of its rights deal with the free streaming platform Victory+.

Under the new terms, Roku will serve as the exclusive streaming home for eight NWSL Sunday night matches for the remainder of the 2026 season, beginning August 30. The partnership is set to expand in 2027, when Roku will carry a package of 25 Sunday night matches. While the financial details of the deal were not disclosed, NWSL Commissioner Jessica Berman noted that Roku was selected through a competitive process due to its scale, accessibility, and ability to reach new audiences.

The move comes after the NWSL abruptly ended its relationship with Victory+ last month. Reports suggest that unfulfilled payments from Victory+ contributed to the league's decision to terminate that agreement. This new deal does not impact the NWSL’s existing media partnerships with CBS Sports, ESPN, Amazon Prime Video, and Scripps Sports, which are scheduled to expire at the end of the 2027 season.
