NXP, Variscite and CELUS partner to launch AI‑powered embedded hardware design platform

NXP Semiconductors, Variscite and CELUS have formed a strategic partnership to integrate Variscite’s system‑on‑module (SoM) portfolio into the CELUS Design Platform and the NXP Block Diagram Designer. The collaboration adds AI‑driven design assistance, allowing engineers to select NXP‑based SoMs, create hardware architectures and prepare designs within a single workflow, reducing manual effort and shortening time‑to‑market.

The initial release supports the VAR‑SOM‑MX93, VAR‑SMARC‑MX8M‑PLUS and DART‑MX95 modules and targets high‑growth markets such as industrial automation, medical devices and IoT. “Time‑to‑market is a critical factor in any new project,” said Ofer Austerlitz, vice‑president of business development and sales at Variscite. Luca DiFalco, senior vice‑president of global channel sales and industrial solutions at NXP, added that the goal is to let users start and finish their design journey on one platform.
