Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce Wedding Disrupts NYC Bar Near MSG

Bar owner Michael O’Brien of O’Brien’s Bar & Grill, located on 31st Street directly across from Madison Square Garden, says street closures for the rumored July 3 wedding of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have devastated his business. He reports that barriers and police‑controlled sidewalks have kept customers away, reducing his usual nightly crowd of about 150 to just six patrons. O’Brien says he contacted the city, the mayor’s office, the NYPD and the couple’s management teams offering the venue for guests or a buy‑out, but received no response.

The bar, which expected a busy weekend due to the holiday, the 2026 World Cup and the high‑profile celebration, now faces shutting down for the day. Approximately 1,000 guests are expected at the wedding, prompting extensive road shutdowns in the area surrounding Madison Square Garden.
