NYC bartender murder suspect pursued in Mexico

Maria Santos Flores, a 36‑year‑old bartender, was found dead with her throat slashed inside her Bay Ridge home in Brooklyn on June 20. Her 17‑year‑old son and sister discovered the body, and her husband said investigators believe the attacker followed her from work.

Police have identified the suspect as Misal Cruz. The New York City Police Department, together with federal authorities, crossed the U.S.–Mexico border to locate him, and Mexican officials have joined the manhunt. A NYPD wanted poster has been issued as the search continues in Mexico.
