NYC police hunt Stephen Charles for alleged Bronx child sexual abuse

Stephen Charles, a man in his early‑40s, is wanted by the New York City Police Department for allegedly sexually abusing six individuals, five of them minors, over an eight‑year period from January 2018 to May 2026. The alleged assaults occurred in private residences in Bronx neighborhoods including Baychester, Soundview and Morris Heights.

The NYPD released photographs of Charles and urged anyone with information to contact the department’s Crime Stoppers hotline at 1‑800‑577‑TIPS (8477) or the Spanish line 1‑888‑57‑PISTA (74782), and to submit tips online. No arrests have been made and the investigation remains ongoing.
