NYC Police Seek Public Help in Bronx Missing Teen and Sexual Abuse Arrest

Police are searching for 15‑year‑old Ashley Viola Frias, who was last seen on July 31, 2026, at her home in the 43rd Precinct. Frias is described as a Hispanic female, about 5′1″ tall and 90 lb. Separately, NYPD announced the arrest of Stephen Charles, a 42‑year‑old resident of the Edenwald section, on July 31, 2026, in the 50th Precinct. Charles is charged with multiple counts of predatory sexual assault, rape, and other offenses related to a pattern of sexual abuse of minors dating from 2018 to 2026. The department continues to request information from the public via the same Crime Stoppers channels.
