Restoration efforts, which began in 2018 through a collaboration between the Ordu Governor's Office Investment Monitoring and Coordination Presidency and the Ünye Municipality, focused on improving accessibility. Key upgrades include the installation of wooden stairs, observation terraces, and a rail system to allow visitors to reach the castle's internal tunnels.

Ünye Mayor Hüseyin Tavlı noted that the site has seen intense interest since it reopened last June, contributing significantly to regional tourism. The castle offers views of the surrounding area and the Black Sea.
