Ünye Organized Industrial Zone aims for 7,000 jobs
The Ünye Organized Industrial Zone (OSB) in Ordu, Turkey, has reached significant milestones in employment and international trade. Currently, 13 companies are operational within the 500-decare zone, providing employment for approximately 2,000 people.
Ünye Mayor Hüseyin Tavlı stated that 17 additional companies are expected to begin production soon. Once the OSB reaches full capacity, the goal is to employ approximately 7,000 citizens, allowing them to work in their home region rather than migrating elsewhere for labor.
The industrial zone hosts various sectors, including hazelnut processing, bentonite mining, and textiles. These businesses currently export products to 183 countries. Additionally, capacity increases at the Ünye Port have supported these industrial and export activities by allowing multiple ships to load and unload simultaneously.
