Nymburk opens restricted heritage sites for European Heritage Days

Nymburk is hosting events as part of the European Heritage Days, offering public access to sites that are typically closed to the general population. The program includes tours of the St. John Nepomuk chapel, the Hálka City Theatre, and the tower of the Church of St. Giles.

In addition to historical landmarks, the event features a tour of modern architecture led by Radomíra Sedláková and a visit to the Nymwag railway wagon production facility. The festivities also include a wine tasting event and the unveiling of a new bronze gnome statue, 'Jakub z Kaplanky', near the Old Deanery.

Visitors can participate in boat trips from the city walls and guided walks through reconstructed historical spaces, though some tours require advanced reservations.
