New York City police officers shot a 49-year-old man, identified as Victor Soto, after a gunfight occurred near a daycare in the Fordham section of the Bronx on Monday afternoon.
According to officials, the incident began when Soto allegedly menaced customers inside a deli on Bainbridge Avenue by pointing a firearm at patrons. Officers patrolling the area observed Soto slamming the weapon against a glass window.
