NYPD seeks Mark Washington in fatal Staten Island woman's shooting

The NYPD has identified 55-year-old Mark Washington as a suspect in the fatal shooting of Angelique Apostol, a 38-year-old woman from Staten Island. The incident occurred during a domestic dispute at a residence in St. Albans on June 10.

Authorities discovered the victim's decomposed body on June 24 after neighbors reported noxious odors coming from the home. An autopsy by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner confirmed the cause of death was a gunshot wound to the head. Washington remains at large, and police are offering a reward of up to $3,500 for information leading to his arrest and indictment.
