Hungarian and Romanian football updates: league schedules and coaching changes
Recent developments in Hungarian and Romanian football include scheduling updates for the OTP Bank Liga and coaching changes. The Hungarian Football Federation has finalized the autumn schedule for the OTP Bank Liga, including rescheduled matches and key fixtures for clubs like Ferencváros and Puskás Akadémia.
In the OTP Bank Liga, Ferencváros recently played to a 1-1 draw against Nyíregyháza, a result their coach Borbely Balázs viewed as acceptable given the team's recent European commitments. Meanwhile, Debreceni VSC has expressed formal disagreement with the Hungarian Football Federation regarding refereeing decisions in their 4-2 loss to Vasas, specifically concerning disallowed goals.
In Romania, FK Csíkszereda faces significant instability. Following a 2-0 loss to Petrolul Ploiești that left them at the bottom of the Superliga with only one point, reports indicate that head coach István Szabó has been dismissed by the club leadership.
Other regional results include Puskás Akadémia leading the league standings, while women's football saw high-scoring matches, including a 17-0 victory by Puskás Akadémia in the Simple Női Liga.
