Nyíregyházi Zoo Tops Hungary's Favorite Zoo Survey

A nationwide online poll conducted by Csodásmagyarország.hu surveyed 5,554 participants to rank Hungary's most popular animal and plant parks. The Nyíregyházi Zoo received the highest support, with 35 % of respondents naming it their favorite. The Budapest City Zoo and Botanical Garden came in second with 19 % backing, followed by Veszprém Zoo at 13 %.

The fourth‑through‑eighth places were taken by Szeged Wildlife Park (7 %), Tisza‑Lake Eco Center (6 %), Győr Xantus János Zoo (5 %), Budapest Tropicarium (4 %) and Pécs Zoo (3 %). Four institutions tied for ninth place, each garnering 2 % of the vote: Veresegyház Bear Sanctuary, Budakeszi Wildlife Park, Hortobágy Wildlife Park and Miskolc Zoo. The list was completed by Kecskemét Wildlife Park and Debrecen Nagyerdő Cultural Park, each receiving 1 % of votes.
