NYSC Director-General urges outgoing corps members to pursue entrepreneurship

Brigadier General Olakunle Oluseye Nafiu, the Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), has issued a charge to the 2025 Batch C corps members completing their national service. In a farewell message delivered in Abuja, Nafiu encouraged the outgoing members to avoid waiting for salaried employment and instead focus on creating their own opportunities.

Nafiu emphasized the importance of utilizing the knowledge and skills acquired through the NYSC Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) programme. He urged the members to embrace entrepreneurship to navigate current economic challenges and to become job creators rather than job seekers.

The Director-General also commended the corps members for their patriotism, resilience, and selfless service. He noted that their community development projects and the positive impact they made within their host communities would contribute significantly to the nation's development story. He concluded by urging them to uphold core values such as integrity, efficiency, and teamwork as they pursue leadership roles in the future.
