NYSE and Blockchain.com partner for tokenized stock trading

Blockchain.com and the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) Group have signed a memorandum of understanding to explore the distribution of tokenized U.S. stocks and exchange-traded funds (ETFs). The partnership aims to provide Blockchain.com’s global user base of over 44 million accounts with access to traditional Wall Street assets through the NYSE’s planned digital alternative trading system (ATS).

The proposed digital platform is designed to support 24/7 trading, fractional ownership, and instant on-chain settlement using blockchain technology and stablecoin funding. This initiative seeks to bridge the gap between traditional finance and the crypto-native market by allowing continuous trading outside of standard market hours.

The agreement also includes a mutual data-sharing arrangement. ICE Data Services, an affiliate of the NYSE’s parent company Intercontinental Exchange, plans to distribute Blockchain.com’s crypto market data and analytics to its clients. In return, Blockchain.com will integrate real-time NYSE and ICE market data feeds into its platform.

The implementation of this partnership remains subject to necessary regulatory approvals, and no specific launch date has been announced.
