NYT Games marks Wordle's 5th anniversary with artist‑powered VIP concert giveaways

To celebrate the fifth anniversary of the daily puzzle Wordle, New York Times Games launched a Wordle VIP promotion. The initiative pairs the game with four musical acts—Nat & Alex Wolff, Young the Giant, Priscilla Block and Passion Pit—each releasing a custom Wordle puzzle. Players who solve the puzzle and submit a screenshot between June 3 and June 5 can win VIP tickets, merchandise and other perks for the artists' upcoming summer concerts in Seattle, New York City, Nashville and Los Angeles.

The promotion also introduces two new anniversary badges, including the first multi‑day challenge badge, which can be earned by solving five consecutive puzzles from June 15‑19. Winners are notified by June 8 and must claim the prize within 24 hours, covering their own travel and accommodation costs. The campaign highlights the community built around Wordle and blends gaming with live‑music experiences.
