O Barco Mayor Aurentino Alonso reviews first year in office

Aurentino Alonso Araujo, the mayor of O Barco representing the PSdeG-PSOE, has reviewed his first year in office. He described the period as intense and challenging, specifically citing a major fire that destroyed more than half of the municipality as a significant crisis that tested the local government.

In terms of infrastructure and urban development, Alonso highlighted several key projects. These include road improvements in Éntoma and between Soulecín and O Castro, as well as a septic tank installation in O Castro near the Xagoaza church. In the urban center, the administration is focusing on the first phase of an integral sanitation project to prevent leaks and manage rainwater within the sewage network. Additionally, work is planned for an underground passage to be executed by Adif.
