O Fim da Rua science fiction film features Anne Hathaway and Ewan McGregor

The science fiction film ‘O Fim da Rua’ (The End of the Street), starring Anne Hathaway and Ewan McGregor, is now in theaters. Directed by David Robert Mitchell and produced by J. J. Abrams, the story is set in the 1980s and follows the Platt family after a cosmic event transports their neighborhood to a world inhabited by dinosaurs.

Production details highlight a focus on scientific realism. The visual effects team at Industrial Light & Magic (ILM) used paleontological research and modern birds, such as emus and ostriches, to inform the movement, plumage, and coloring of the dinosaurs. To assist actors during scenes involving the prehistoric Titanoboa, the production built a full-scale physical model of the giant serpent for use on set.

The film also features a canine character named Starbuck, played by Brisket, an experienced Australian cattle dog and former champion at events such as the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show.
