O Grove prepares for 63rd Festa do Marisco

The 63rd Festa do Marisco in O Grove is set to begin, with organizers implementing several changes to accommodate visitors. For the first time, the gastronomic stalls will open at midday on Friday to serve tourists arriving early, a move intended to maximize the festival's impact.

Local authorities have noted that the festival aims to serve as a gastronomic gateway for the Xacobeo 2027 celebrations. This year, the traditional cafeteria tent within the main enclosure has been removed to reduce congestion in the O Corgo area and minimize local neighborhood disturbances.

Tourism data indicates high demand, with approximately 85% hotel occupancy already recorded in the Salnés region. The extended weekend, due to the October 12 holiday falling on a Monday, is expected to drive further attendance. Visitors can use a QR code system for reservations to prevent long queues. While most product prices remain stable, certain items, such as clams, will see a slight price increase.
