O Marisquiño festival and La Bañeza motorcycle GP headline sporting events

The O Marisquiño festival in Vigo has concluded its 26th edition, featuring diverse sporting and cultural competitions. The event brought together approximately 1,500 participants from over 30 countries. Key highlights included World Cup Skateboarding and BMX competitions, with notable winners such as Pacal Teixeira (WCS Street Men), Valentina Krauel Bruna (WCS Street Women), and Colombian Juan Caicedo (BMX Pro Park Men). The festival also introduced DMC Iberia, an international turntablism competition where top DJs compete for a spot at the DMC World Finals in London.

In La Bañeza, the LXV Gran Premio de Velocidad Ciudad de La Bañeza is proceeding following a serious accident during Saturday's practice sessions that left nine people injured. Despite the incident, the event continues with major categories including Clásicas 2 Tiempos, EuroTwins, and GP 125/Moto3. Competitors Sergio Fuertes and Alejandro Martínez Mas are among the key figures expected to contend for victory in the urban circuit races.
