O Porriño awards contract for 36 public housing units

The Sociedade de Vivenda Pública de Galicia has awarded the contract to Citanias Obras y Servicios, S. L. U. for the construction of a building containing 36 public housing units in O Porriño. Located in the SUR-P PR-5 sector, the project includes project drafting, construction management, and the use of industrialized techniques.

The project has an execution period of 21 months. Mayor Alejandro Lorenzo stated that the initiative aims to expand the municipal public housing stock to meet residential demand, specifically targeting youth and families facing difficulties in accessing housing. The development is part of a collaboration protocol between the municipality and the Xunta de Galicia to provide affordable housing for those registered in the Rexistro Único de Demandantes de Vivenda de Galicia.
