O Rosal summer camps teach equality to 200 children

More than 200 children took part in the "Escape de Corresponsabilidad", a game‑based activity run during O Rosal's summer camps to promote gender equality and shared domestic responsibilities. Over two days participants, divided by age, acted as "detectives of equality" solving puzzles and tackling everyday scenarios such as laundry, shopping, house‑keeping and caring for others.

The initiative brought together youngsters from the municipality's four camps—Sementeira de Igualdade, the local music group, UD Ribera and Valinox Atlético Novás—for the first time, fostering new friendships and cooperative learning. Mayor Ánxela Fernández Callís stressed that teaching equality early helps children internalise respect, empathy and justice. The program was co‑financed by the Xunta de Galicia's Plan Corresponsables and Spain's Ministry of Equality as part of broader efforts to advance gender equity and work‑life balance.
