O-SEED incubation programme launches for students in Brazzaville

The O-SEED (Student Entrepreneurship for Economic Development) incubation programme launched on 2 September in Brazzaville, Republic of Congo. The initiative aims to bridge the gap between academic ambition and market demands by helping student entrepreneurs transform ideas into structured, viable business projects.

Led by the non-governmental organisation Pratic and financed by the Fund for the Impulse, Guarantee, and Support of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (Figa), the first cohort consists of twenty young project holders. The programme focuses on practical training in four key areas: financial management, marketing, customer relations, and business development.

Figa Director General Branham Kintombo emphasized that support and structuring must precede financing to ensure projects are capable of securing customers and reducing financial risk. Luc Missidimbazi, president of Pratic, noted that while young people possess energy and ambition, society holds a collective responsibility to create the conditions necessary to turn those energies into value-creating businesses.
