O Show da Luna! returns with ninth season focused on the Amazon

The Brazilian animated series ‘O Show da Luna!’ is returning for its ninth season, which will focus on the biodiversity and cultural diversity of the Amazon. The new episodes are scheduled to premiere on November 2 on Discovery Kids and HBO Max.

In this season, the characters Luna, Jupiter, and Claudio will explore various scientific and cultural curiosities, such as the different colors of rivers, the characteristics of the pink river dolphin, the importance of açaí, and the uses of cassava. The narrative will also cover the historical presence of indigenous populations and the linguistic diversity of the region.

The production features visits to locations including São Gabriel da Cachoeira, Afuá, Marajó Island, and the Palikur people in Oiapoque. To ensure depth and accuracy regarding the territories and communities portrayed, the series collaborated with the Instituto Socioambiental (ISA) for consultancy. The season will be released in phases, with more new episodes expected in 2027.
