O2 and AEG extend London venue naming rights through 2038
AEG and O2 have extended their naming rights partnership for London’s The O2 through 2038. The agreement adds 10 years to the existing contract, which was set to expire in 2027.
While financial terms were not officially disclosed by the companies, reports indicate the deal is a “major multi-million-pound” agreement. Some sources suggest the extension may involve approximately £20 million per year, totaling roughly £200 million over the decade, representing a significant increase over previous terms.
The renewal includes expanded benefits for customers, such as a 50% increase in tickets available through Priority Tickets for O2 and Virgin Media broadband users. The partnership, which began around the venue's opening in 2007, has evolved to include infrastructure investments like 5G connectivity and high-speed Wi-Fi to support large-scale events.
