O2 launches cloud storage service for Czech customers
O2 has launched a new cloud storage service called ‘O2 Můj Cloud’ for its tariff customers in the Czech Republic. The service is designed to facilitate digital life by allowing users to back up photos, videos, music, and documents to secure data centers located within the European Union.
The service offers two primary subscription tiers: a 300 GB plan for 59 CZK per month and a 2 TB plan for 99 CZK per month. The first month is available for free as a trial. The platform includes a mobile application and a web version, featuring a vault function for sensitive data and the ability to share albums with other users.
This move positions O2 as a competitor to established cloud providers like Apple and Google. For comparison, Apple’s 2 TB plan costs 249 CZK per month, while Google’s 2 TB plan is priced at 300 CZK per month. Martin Čejka, Director of Product & Marketing, stated that the goal is to provide simple and secure storage that meets customers' daily needs, ensuring they do not have to worry about deleting memories to free up space.
