O2 Slovakia to absorb UPC Broadband Slovakia in November
UPC Broadband Slovakia will cease to exist as an independent company on November 1, with all rights, obligations, and contracts being transferred to O2 Slovakia.
Existing customers will not need to sign new contracts, as current services, prices, discounts, and loyalty periods remain unchanged. The primary change for users will be in billing, as O2 Slovakia will issue invoices starting in November. While the legal entity is merging, the UPC brand name will continue to be used for internet and television services for the time being.
Through this acquisition, O2 Slovakia gains access to a significant fixed network covering nearly 650,000 households across approximately 80 Slovak cities. O2 intends to leverage this infrastructure to eventually integrate mobile, internet, and television services.
