O2 Slovakia to merge UPC Broadband Slovakia into its structures

O2 Slovakia is proceeding with the legal integration of UPC Broadband Slovakia, which will officially cease to exist as a separate legal entity on November 1, 2026. This move follows O2's acquisition of UPC from Liberty Global for 95 million euros, a transaction completed in April after receiving regulatory approvals.

For existing customers, the transition will primarily involve changes to billing information and administrative data. O2 Slovakia has stated that service terms, pricing, existing discounts, and provided services will remain unchanged. Customer support contact channels will also remain the same.

The UPC brand will continue to be used for internet and television services. This merger is part of a broader strategy to integrate fixed-line and mobile services, following O2's acquisition of UPC's extensive network which serves over 600,000 households across nearly 80 Slovak cities.
