OAB 47th Unified Bar Exam second phase focuses on criminal law
The second phase of the 47th Unified Bar Exam (OAB) was held on Sunday, with thousands of candidates participating in the criminal law section. Legal expert Matheus Barbosa noted that the exam focused on topics frequently covered by the examining board, such as negligent embezzlement (peculato culposo), continuous crime, and the admissibility of infringing appeals (embargos infringentes).
The practical-professional piece required candidates to draft counter-arguments to an appeal (contrarrazões ao recurso de apelação) regarding the Jury Court procedure. While most topics followed expected patterns, one question deviated by addressing kidnapping and money laundering.
