OAB Paraná inaugurates defensive investigation support center

The OAB Paraná has inaugurated the Center for Support of Defensive Investigation in Curitiba. The facility is designed to provide lawyers in the capital and metropolitan region with modern equipment and a complete structure for producing evidence in favor of their clients.

According to Luiz Fernando Casagrande Pereira, president of OAB Paraná, the entity fully funded the acquisition of high-end equipment. The center includes resources for conducting interviews with witnesses and provides free access to Jusbrasil for legal research. Alexandre Knopfholz, president of the Criminal Advocacy Commission, noted that the initiative is a pioneer in Brazil, aiming to allow lawyers to work with defensive investigation under more equal conditions. If successful, the model may be expanded to other regions of Paraná.
