Santa Catarina entities demand investigation into political boycott lists
Various institutional and political entities in Santa Catarina, Brazil, are calling for investigations into the circulation of lists intended to boycott businesses, professionals, and lawyers based on their political affiliations.
Business federations, including FCDL/SC, Sindilojas, and ACISMO, have issued statements condemning these lists as illegal and harmful to the regional economy. They emphasize that such actions promote intolerance and can negatively impact workers and suppliers. Similarly, the OAB/SC has requested that the Public Ministry investigate attempts to intimidate lawyers through political exposure.
Legislators, including federal deputy Pedro Uczai and state deputies Fabiano da Luz and Marquito, have urged the Public Ministry and the Labor Public Ministry to address these incidents, which they characterize as electoral harassment and political violence. These calls for action follow reports of both digital boycotts and physical aggression against voters in the region.
