The administration of the Olympic Stadium of Athens (OAΚΑ) has issued safety guidelines following the recent appearance of foxes within the sports complex's surrounding areas.
To ensure a safe coexistence between humans and wildlife, officials have instructed athletes, visitors, and employees to follow a strict set of rules: ‘Do not approach, do not feed, do not disturb. Observe from a distance and respect.’ The administration emphasized that while the presence of wildlife in an urban setting can be surprising, it should not cause panic.
OAΚΑ management has contacted the relevant authorities and environmental services to seek scientific guidance and appropriate actions to manage the situation. The goal is to protect both the local biodiversity and the safety of those using the facilities daily.
