Oakland Place wins top global award for commercial development

Oakland Place, a commercial development in Guatemala managed by Spectrum, has received the ‘Best of the Best Award’ at the ICSC Global Design & Development Awards. This top honor follows the project's success in the Renovations/Expansions category, where it earned a Gold award, as well as a special mention for sustainability.

The project was selected from 35 international proposals and emerged as one of seven finalists for the top prize. The renovation focused on integrating open areas, green spaces, and new visitor experiences while connecting the complex with surrounding urban dynamics.

The Association of Shopping Centers of Guatemala (ACECOGUA) noted that this achievement reflects the rising international standards of the country's retail industry. Industry leaders stated that the recognition demonstrates local capacity to develop world-class projects that compete with global benchmarks.
