Oasis concert ticket scams reported in Rome
The consumer association Codici and the Polizia Postale have issued warnings regarding fraudulent schemes targeting fans of the band Oasis ahead of their 2027 concerts in Rome. Scammers are using fake communications to claim individuals have been “selected” to purchase tickets, exploiting excitement and urgency to deceive victims.
These scams often involve directing users to suspicious links, clone websites designed to steal passwords and credit card information, or attempting to sell access codes that are not actually for purchase. Experts note that while a code may grant access to a specific sales window, it does not guarantee a ticket purchase.
To prevent fraud, authorities advise that access codes are never for sale and are instead sent as non-transferable personal codes to selected individuals. Consumers are urged to verify that emails originate from authorized addresses, avoid providing personal or financial data via suspicious links, and purchase tickets exclusively through official channels.
