Oasis documentary “Don’t Look Back In Anger” slated for Venice Film Festival

The new documentary “Don’t Look Back In Anger” chronicles the reunion of British rock brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher and their 2025 Oasis Live ’25 tour, which is being described as the biggest musical event of the year. Production is handled by Magna Studios and Sony Music Vision, with screenplay by BAFTA‑nominee Steven Knight and direction by Dylan Southern and Will Lovace.

The film is expected to be placed on the official programme of the 83rd Venice Film Festival (2‑12 September) on the Lido, with festival organisers Alberto Barbera and Biennale president Pietrangelo Buttafuoco set to announce the line‑up on 23 July. Fans hope the Gallagher brothers will walk the red carpet, and Liam Gallagher replied to speculation on X with the cryptic comment “Non credere alla verità”.

The documentary will open in Italian cinemas and selected IMAX venues worldwide on 10 September, before moving to exclusive streaming on Disney+ internationally (and on Hulu/Disney+ in the United States) later in the year. The buzz also ties in with rumours of future Italian concerts at Rome’s Stadio Olimpico in summer 2027.
