Oatly lowers full-year profit outlook due to rising logistics costs

Oatly has lowered its full-year adjusted EBITDA guidance to a range of 16 million to 20 million euros. The downward revision is primarily attributed to surging fuel and freight costs in North America, which have outpaced internal cost offsets.

To protect profitability, management plans to implement selective price increases and introduce smaller product sizes starting in the first quarter of 2027. Despite these margin pressures, the company reported steady volume growth across international retail channels and expanded shelf placement at major retailers.

In an effort to capture higher-margin opportunities, Oatly is also expanding into the wellness beverage sector with a new functional fiber drink platform. This new line, targeting consumers in Europe and North America, aims to increase market penetration beyond traditional coffee applications.
