Oaxaca authorities arrest individual for fatal animal cruelty

The Oaxaca State Attorney General's Office (FGEO) has executed an arrest warrant against a man identified as F. S. L. for the crime of animal cruelty resulting in death. The incident occurred on October 3, 2026, in the 7 Regiones neighborhood of Oaxaca de Juárez.

According to investigative reports, the suspect was traveling on a motorcycle when he approached several dogs. He then allegedly used a firearm to shoot a white canine, causing death through massive hemorrhage and cardiac arrest. The suspect has been placed at the disposal of the judicial control court in the Valles Centrales circuit.
