Oaxaca authorities investigate death of private company worker

Authorities in Oaxaca de Juárez are investigating the death of a private company worker who died on September 16. The individual was found without vital signs inside a company vehicle in the Eucaliptos neighborhood of Pueblo Nuevo.

According to reports, the worker reportedly suffered a fall on the highway leading to San Lorenzo Cacaotepec, Etla. An attempt was made to transport the individual to a medical facility via the company vehicle, but the driver realized the worker had already passed away during the transit. Ministerial authorities have been notified to determine the exact circumstances and cause of death.

While some initial reports linked the death to the Viguera underpass construction project, municipal authorities clarified that the victim was not a worker directly involved in that specific infrastructure project. However, a previous death involving a worker occurred during soil mechanics studies for the same Viguera project in May.
