Oaxaca commissions resume work on constitutional reform

The United Commissions of Constitutional Studies and Interculturality, Indigenous and Afro-Mexican Peoples and Communities in Oaxaca have resumed work on the Comprehensive Reform of the State Constitution.

During a permanent session, the Technical Advisory Committee was officially sworn in. This collegiate body is tasked with providing specialized knowledge, methodology, and analysis to both the consultation subjects and the State Congress to ensure the proper development of the process.

Legislators also advanced the organization of a prior, free, informed, good-faith, and culturally appropriate consultation for Indigenous and Afro-Mexican communities. The session included the presentation of the proposed call for the informative stage of this consultation, along with corresponding infographics.
