Oaxaca de Juárez establishes first Peace Construction Table

Ray Chagoya, the municipal president of Oaxaca de Juárez, has established the first Peace Construction Table for the capital city. The initiative aims to strengthen inter-institutional coordination between municipal, state, and federal governments to address the underlying causes of violence.

The meeting included representatives from public security, justice agencies, and the Armed Forces. Participants agreed to implement coordinated strategies focused on prevention, institutional presence in neighborhoods and public spaces, and improved response times to security issues to foster a safer environment for residents.
